\\overbuild office tower

\\project info

This exploratory design aims to attract a corporate client and demonstrate the maximum potential of this site. It creates a unique campus, with a private elevated park in the sky and a two tower structure built atop an existing parking structure, reigniting the pedestrian experience that is currently neglected by the existing parking structure. This design integrates regulations of the downtown Capitol View Corridor by twisting the core and separating each level into two towers, to structurally allow increased height, maximize daylighting, and allow maximum height addition. The design seeks to extend the existing Public Square Park vertically along the elevation of the residential addition, before turning horizontally atop the parking structure in an occupant specific park. The first phase proposed consisted of a reinforced structural foundation to allow for future vertical development. I was one of 3 architectural designers, working as a team to create a proposal for the developer.
